Self-organizing multifunctional structures for adaptive high performance light-weight constructions

The graduate school is a coordinated program of the Campus Funktionswerkstoffe und –strukturen which is a institution of the Technical University of Clausthal (TUC) in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig and the Federal Institute for Material Testing (BAM) in Berlin. In addition, the Technical University of Braunschweig (TU BS) is also part of this initiative which is funded within the Lower Saxony PhD program.

The aim of the doctoral program is the interdisciplinary training of young scientists in the emerging field of potential-induced self-organization of functional materials on various length scales. The program is directed towards an outstanding education in excellent research topics within a compact time frame.
